Join us for a week away in the beautiful Tablelands. This year, we’ll be learning about the Resurrection with talks from Tim Earnshaw, small group Bible studies, interesting electives and plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors. Camp is from 22-26/06, a holiday week for both semester and trimester students!
Registration for camp is now closed – but we would still love to help you join us – please get in touch with us aboutlate registration by emailing [email protected]
If you have registered for camp, we’ll be in touch about final details and carpooling soon.
We will be heading to Quinola Lakes Campsite at Malanda on the beautiful Atherton Tableland.
The campsite is about 4-4.5 hours drive from Townsville, and about 1.5 hours drive from Cairns.
We drive to camp from Cairns and Townsville. You can indicate whether you are able to offer spaces in your car or need a spot to get to camp. Transport will be arranged after registrations close on June 30. We’ll send an email letting you know who you are travelling with. It is appreciated if you can chat with your driver about sharing the fuel cost.
We would love you to join us – anyone who is keen to learn from God’s Word, whether you’ve read the Bible for many years or have never opened it before. It is a great opportunity to learn more about Jesus and get to know others from JCU.
Registration closes on June 7 at midnight.
We would really love for you to be with us as long as possible and it is (much) better if you are able to make the whole conference. We understand though that there might be circumstances that make this difficult, so please chat to us for more details.
For 2026, MYC will cost $260 for the week.
If finances are an issue, we don’t want that to be a barrier to you joining us, please chat to us and we can figure out together to get you there.
The cost covers accommodation, food, and other expenses of the conference.
We’ll send you a packing list when you register.
You’ll need to bring bedding (sheets, pillow, blanket for dorm bed) and your clothes and personal items.
At camp we’ll spend time reading, discussing and hearing the Bible taught. We’ll pray together, sing together and have fun together. There will be lots to consider and learn together as well as time to reflect, and free time to enjoy and explore the beautiful surroundings on the tablelands. Camp is a great chance to forge friendships and grow in our knowledge and love of God.
Manuscript Discovery – Spend time with a small group looking at a section of the Bible with no chapters, verses, or headings. It’s a different way to approach the text and a great time to look at a passage of the Bible either for the first time – or afresh.
Bible Talks – Each day there will be a Bible talk, helping us to think through Jesus’ death and it’s implications for our lives.
Seminars – MYC seminars are a chance to spend time digging into God’s word together and in smaller groups, and building up a picture of what the Bible as a whole says about a particular topic. They are usually packed with Bible reading, discussion, and snacks!
Missionaries – Meet and pray for some of our link missionaries (some in person and some by video) and hear about their experiences of serving God in a different contexts to our own.
Workshops – An opportunity to think about some different topics in light of the cross.
Five Days on the Tableland – It’s a great time together in a lovely place – great to get away somewhere different, and an opportunity to meet others from Christian Students in Townsville and Cairns, and have a lot of fun too!!
If your question is not covered here or you want to chat further, please send us an email!
