What if uni is about more than your degree? We’re here to help you see Jesus, the one who gives meaning to it all.
Jesus is Lord, and his Word is our foundation, no matter the cultural moment. At uni, we are taught to question everything. At AFES, we do that with the Bible open.
We want to make sure everyone has a chance to meet Jesus at uni. So part of our purpose is to make him unmissable on campus – through what we say, how we live, love and serve our peers.
We don’t think uni should be an isolating experience. Whether you’re a committed Christian or just curious – AFES is a community where you will be known, supported, and invited to belong.
We engage with the Bible at the same intellectual depth as our studies – tackling life’s biggest questions with honesty and clarity. Our hope is to see every student mature in Christ.
Christian Students JCU events are for everyone – whether you’re curious about Jesus or know him well, whether you’re new to uni or nearly done, or whether you’re just looking for community.
Expect a warm welcome, good conversations, and opportunities to discover hope that lasts beyond assignments and deadlines.
We’d recommend joining us on Wednesday evening at 5pm for a Bible Talk and dinner. Some students just pop in when they can, others come several times a week, and some volunteer in leadership positions.
